Healthcare is a trust business. These are the exact steps we take before a clinician's profile goes live on BloomTalkx — and the claims we deliberately do not make.
CNIC for Pakistani clinicians, passport for overseas-registered clinicians. Checked against the name used on degrees and licensing.
Degree certificate — MS Clinical Psychology, MPhil, PhD, PsyD, MBBS + FCPS Psychiatry, BCBA, or discipline-equivalent. We check the issuing university is real and that the specialisation is relevant.
For clinicians who hold a licensing or registration — PMC (medical doctors/psychiatrists), PPA, BACB (BCBA), ASHA (speech), or an equivalent overseas body — we confirm the registration number is active with the issuing body. The green ‘Credential verified’ badge is only shown on profiles where this step has been completed. Clinicians whose credentials sit outside a formal licensing council (counsellors, remedial specialists, some chaplaincy and life-coaching work) are listed without this badge.
A short interview and two professional references confirm the specialisations the clinician lists on their profile are areas they actually practise.
If we are told a clinician's registration has lapsed or a complaint has been upheld, their badge is removed and the profile is reviewed. We re-check active registrations annually.
You will see a green Credential verified badge on some therapist cards — but not all of them. We deliberately do not put a generic badge on every clinician.
The badge appears when we have confirmed the clinician's registration with a licensing or professional body (for example PMC, BACB, ASHA, PPA or an overseas equivalent). For clinicians whose qualifications sit outside a formal licensing council — counsellors, remedial specialists, and some adjacent practice areas — we show their degree and credentials in full on the profile, but we do not attach the badge, because the badge would overstate what we have independently checked.
If you believe a clinician's profile overstates their credentials or a licensing claim is inaccurate, tell us and we will investigate promptly. Profiles are suspended during an active credential dispute.
